Present - Pause - Commit
In our riding we can be both assertive and defensive, we can dominate our space and use our positioning and and signals to give a clear indication to others as to our plan encouraging them to assist us whilst never forcing or bullying others out of our way. Remembering where possible to thanks those that do assist us.
By following the above we;
Present, ourselves to others giving them information on our plan.
Pause momentarily to wait for their reaction, if they don't react then we must review our plan or go to our already considered plan B.
Commit, only committing to the plan once we are sure the other person is thinking the same as us.
Of course to be assertive we need to be confident in our own riding ability and decision making, if you need help or support with this contact me to book an urban riding workshop.
